Al Diafah Sri Petaling- Arabian Food

Al Diafah located in Sri Petaling is a posh Arabian Restaurant. The design and decoration of the shop is elegant and posh. The restaurant is located at the first floor of the shop. The ground floor of the shop is selling dates. All kind of premium dates are available.

We order the Arabian tea for sharing. Surprisingly it was very good. It has hint of spices in it. The tea was very smooth and doesn't contain any aftertaste.

For starter we order the hummus, it is a chicken pea blend and topped with olive oil, breads were provided and the fluffiness of the bread goes really well with the hummus. It is a little salty, a little sweet and full of chicken pea fragrance, texture is like mashed potato. Worth trying! It would be perfect if the bread was served hot from oven.

Lamb mendy was next up.The lamb is actually hidden under the briyani rice. Portion is huge enough for sharing of two person. The lamb mendy is very good and we actually wiped everything off in 15 mins. The briyani cooked with butter is fluffy and aromatic with a hint of lamb smell. The lamb is tender and juicy. This is a must try dish for all lamb lovers.
It costs us RM35 for this dish and we will definitely come back for it.

There are other dishes available if you're not a fans of lamb. There are also roasted chicken, mendy chicken etc etc..
The mendy rice is definitely worth giving a try.

They're doing a lunch take-away promotion recently, Lamb Mendy is only at RM18, Chicken Mendy at RM10, smaller portion but good enough for a hungry man.

Madras Lane 's Curry Laksa

Madras Lane 's Curry Laksa

We went down to Petaling Street earlier to Shin Kee for lunch. As we pass by the madras lane we were tempted by the aunty at the noodle stall. We order a bowl of her curry laksa to try out. Well nothing beats a piping hot bowl of curry laksa on a gloomy Monday.

This bowl of curry laksa cost RM 5.00. Consist of fried pork skin, long bean, brinjal, bean curd and cockles. there are few types of curry laksa to be found in KL, first is the more diluted soup, second is the thick chicken curry soup, this bowl is neither diluted nor thick, it falls in between both of them, more towards the pasar kind of Curry noodle. The cockles were cooked to perfection and it was one of the plus point, however, we were disappointed the chilli paste, lack of oomph and taste kinda normal to us.

Taste wise, it is decent enough to give it a try when you happen to be in around that area.
